Mission Overview

Missions is a word whose meaning has unfortunately changed and sometimes been watered down over the centuries. Jesus commanded His disciples to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature". Because of their obedience, they were not only persecuted and eventually martyred for their message put into action, but multitudes of people came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and were freed from the bondage of sin.

Jesus' message never changed and we as a church pray for and financially support with tithes, missionaries who preach the gospel of salvation and who are involved in discipling and raising up new believers. Our emphasis is towards missionaries who are reaching into some of the darkest places such as the persecuted church in closed countries and people that are victims of sex trafficking and child slavery. Many of these people who are being reached had never previously heard of Jesus Christ.

Mission Update

In May the India Team were sad to say goodbye to Natasha and Kayio who have been part of the ministry for several years. It was a time of sadness but also rejoicing as they departed for Madeira to be married by our former pastor John Russel.

Although sad to leave, Natasha happily reported that one man who had been very resistant and antagonistic towards her during the time she was ministering came to the Lord the very week that she was leaving. PRAISE THE LORD !!

The team continues to do it’s work under the leadership of Lana and we continue to support them in their outreach to the poor and lost.

It is currently very hot in their part of India and the team asks that we pray for them to have health and strength to continue their ministry in the red light areas and amongst the poor.

Lana particularly asks that we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of those they speak to on a daily basis and for repentance and salvation among those people.
